Autumn heralds the transition from barbecues on the beach to the cold and dark months of winter, but it’s also a time when the most magic happens.

Alongside seasonal Starbucks drinks, basking by the fire and cosy nights in, it signals the beginning of bath season and one of our favourite beauty launches of the year – Lush’s annual Halloween collection.

A brand that’s renowned for its quirky bath and body products, all of which are made by hand, contain no preservatives and are 100 per cent vegetarian, Lush offers beauty buffs a different way to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve with an array of treats that will turn your tub into a cauldron.

Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb, £4.95, Lush

So what spooktacular offerings can you get your ghostly mitts on this time round?

For 2018, the launch includes a giant selection of bath bombs designed to help your body return to the land of the living with fearsome favourite Lord of Misrule back for a fifth year alongside Monsters’ Ball and brand new fizzer Eyeball, which turns your bathwater an unsettling shade of blood orange.

Ghost in the Dark Soap, £5.95, Lush

Other products making a hair-raising return are the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar and Bewitched Bubble Bar, while the Ectoplasm Jelly Bomb strikes back with three new formats to boot.

If you’re a fan of the reviving citrusy smell that comes with the original slimer, then you’ll want to get your hands on the Ectoplasm Shower Scream – which comes in an original and naked form that’s packaging-free – Ectoplasm Wash Card and Solid Perfume.

Eyeball Bath Bomb, £4.95, Lush

For more limited edition goodness there’s also a brand new soap, Ghost in the Dark, which gives off an eerie glow and lemongrass scent that will have you in high spirits in no time.
