It might only be October but the countdown to Christmas has already begun with everything from decorations to confectionery hitting the stores.

For beauty buffs though, the most exciting perk of the festive season is the onslaught of limited-edition treats.

Every year, a plethora of brands launch ranges designed specifically around the holidays, and from Mac Cosmetics to Fenty Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury, the beauty world seriously ups its game.

So, whether you’re looking to get ahead with your Christmas shopping or just fancy stocking up on some treats for yourself, you are almost guaranteed to find the perfect present amongst this bunch of beauty delights.

Here are some of our favourite Christmas beauty collections for 2018.

Fenty Beauty

Fenty Beauty, Avalanche All-Over Metallic Powder Set, £73, Harvey Nichols

Aptly named “Chill Owt”, Rihanna’s best-selling Fenty Beauty unveiled its holiday collection after much anticipation earlier this month and it’s safe to say that fans of the brand will not be disappointed.

The range includes everything from the Killawatt Foil Palette, which includes “seven icy hot hyper-metallic shades to glo’ up your eyes and cheeks”, as well as the Avalanche All-Over Metallic Powder Set, which contains a number of metallic pigments that promise to suit a multitude of skin tones.

Other highlights include the Metallic Eye and Lip Crayon Sets, Frosted Metal Lipsticks and Match Stix by the Dozen.

Kiehl’s

Crème de Corps Limited Edition Holiday 2018, £28, Kiehl’s

Every year, Kiehl’s launches a holiday collection in collaboration with a different artist.

This time round, the skincare experts have joined forces with Andrew Bannecker, an American artist best known for his use of vivid colours.

For 2018, Bannecker has designed artwork in his signature style for a range of Kiehl’s products including Crème de Corps, Ultra Facial Cream, Butterstick Lip Treatment and Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Too Faced

Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette, £39, Too Faced

The brand known for creating makeup that smells like everything from chocolate to peaches, Too Faced’s holiday collection for 2018 is bigger and better than ever.

Following on from the success of its Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette, the brand has extended its festive range to include everything from a vault of Better Than Sex mascaras to new gingerbread Melted Matte lipsticks and two make-up bags that include either a five-piece brush set or a collection of beauty products.

Other hits include two new eyeshadow palettes called Tickled Peach and Sugar Cookie, as well as the Under the Christmas Tree gift set which includes a makeup palette and mascara.

Charlotte Tilbury

Luxury Lipstick Wardrobe K.I.S.S.I.N.G, £220, Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury does Christmas collections well – really well. This year, the makeup maestro has delivered one of her most impressive ranges to date and it’s safe to say you’re going to want everything in it.

From the Beauty Universe Advent Calendar which houses 12 of the brand’s hero products to a limited-edition eyeshadow palette, highlighters, eyeshadow quads in cranberry or green, and the brand new high-shine Superstar Lips lipsticks, there really is something for every type of beauty buff.

One of the most lustworthy additions to this year’s line-up is the Luxury Lipstick Wardrobe K.I.S.S.I.N.G which includes 10 different lipsticks, from the iconic Nude Kate to the deep red beauty of Love Bite.

Mac Cosmetics

Shiny Pretty Things Brush Party, Face Focus, £39, Mac

The name of Mac’s 2018 Christmas collection is “Shiny Pretty Things”, and when you see what’s in it, you’ll understand why.

As well as individual products given a seasonal twist, such as two new shades of Extra Dimension Skinfinish, the range is jam-packed with drool-worthy gift sets and, of course, a seriously impressive advent calendar.

Highlights in the seasonal collection include five new shades of lipstick and lipgloss, Shiny Pretty Shadow pots, sparkly Dazzleliner and the Shiny Pretty Things Brush Party sets which come with a choice of eye or face makeup brushes housed in a metallic pouch.
