Chuka Umunna

Chuka Umunna is an Independent columnist and a British politician who has been the MP for Streatham since 2010. He was the Labour shadow business secretary from 2011 to 2015. He co-founded the People’s Vote campaign in April 2018. In February 2019, Umunna left Labour to sit as an independent MP along with defectors from both Labour and the Conservatives. He joined the Liberal Democrats in June 2019 and now serves as its Shadow Foreign Secretary and lead on International Trade and International Development.
