We won't be there for you: Jennifer Aniston pours cold water on Friends reunion rumours
The rumour mill went into overdrive last night suggesting that our old friends Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Ross and Rachel might be about to stage a reunion.
But in an interview due to be broadcast tonight one of the nineties television show’s stars Jennifer Aniston poured cold water on the speculation.
The actress told interviewer Ellen DeGeneres that she had no idea about reports that the Friends cast were getting back together, saying: "Well, you're hearing it here first. As am I!"
DeGeneres said the rumours were all over the internet. To which, an apparently shocked Aniston, said: "Did Matthew Perry [Chandler] start that? Cause he's getting some good airtime on this show. I've been watching."
"I'm responsible for the entire Friends reunion that's going to happen," DeGeneres joked, adding that she just needed to round up Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc.
The series’ co-creator Marta Kauffmentells also denied the reports yesterday at the Call Me Crazy premiere. She told Perez Hilton: “I'm going to clear this up—it's not happening! Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there's no need anymore.”
