The Flash: extended trailer for TV series

Logan Williams, an actor who starred in the US series The Flash and When Calls the Heart, has died aged 16.

His mother Marlyse confirmed the news to Canada’s Tri-City News, saying she was “absolutely devastated” by his death, the cause of which has not been revealed.

Logan played a young Barry Allen on the CW hit The Flash and he also appeared in When Calls the Heart with Lori Loughlin, as well as Supernatural and Whispers.

Marlyse said she cannot grieve for her son with her family because of the coronavirus crisis. “I am not able to hug my parents who lost their only grandchild,” she said.

Logan’s The Flash co-star Grant Gustin, who plays the adult Barry Allen, posted a photo of Williams with Jesse L Martin taken during the 2014 pilot episode.

“I was so impressed by not only Logan’s talent but his professionalism on set,” Gustin wrote.

“My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I’m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone.”

On Facebook, friends paid tribute to Logan and he has been remembered as a “gentle and very loving and very kind soul”.

Williams was born in Vancouver. He is survived by his parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles.
