A TV mini-series inspired by the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein is in the works, and produced by the Everybody Loves Raymond actor Patricia Heaton.

According to Variety, the project is inspired by Perversion of Justice, the Miami Herald story that exposed Epstein as a serial child molester who had largely evaded the law for decades.

The story, published in three parts in November 2018, was written by investigative journalist Julie K Brown and featured interviews with a number of Epstein’s victims.

The story will reportedly be adapted by Chris Gerolmo, best known for writing the script for the 1988 true crime thriller Mississippi Burning.

The Heaton-produced series is the second Epstein-themed project currently in development, with a true-crime documentary series already set up at the Lifetime television network. Titled Surviving Jeffrey Epstein, it will be the second in a franchise of docuseries about men accused of child abuse, following this year’s Surviving R Kelly.
