A YouTuber has created an alternative version of Friends set during the coronavirus pandemic, with all six protagonists on confinement.

The French creator, who goes by “David, de la chaîne Ganesh2”, titled the video “Confinés”, which translates to “Confined”.

It consists of back-to-back, short excerpts from various Friends episodes, giving an idea of how Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler would pass the time during the pandemic.

All six characters can be seen gazing mournfully – and separately from one another, in accordance to social distancing guidelines.

Chandler is featured playing foosball by himself, while Joey tries – but visibly fails – to enjoy a solitary game of ping-pong.

The clip takes a darker turn when Ross and Monica are seen at a hospital saying goodbye to their late grandmother.

That excerpt comes from the season one episode “The One Where Nana Dies Twice”, in which their grandmother Althea passes away.

A planned Friends reunion has reportedly been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
