Magician Dynamo tests positive for coronavirus
Star says he has experienced ‘severe symptoms’ and reveals he is at ‘high risk’
Dynamo has revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus after experiencing “severe” symptoms.
The magician, who said he has “existing health issues” and is “on immonusuppressive therapy”, told fans that he decided to take a private test due to being “high risk”.
Sharing the news in an Instagram video, Dynamo said that although he has not had a fever, his “symptoms have been quite severe”.
“I’ve had my results back now and unfortunately, I have tested positive for Covid-19,” he said. “This illness can affect anyone, it doesn’t discriminate and it can present itself in many different ways.”
Explaining that his symptoms have gradually been decreasing day by day and that he has been self-isolating for two weeks, Dynamo added: “Hopefully I’m through the worst of it, and I’m staying positive.”
In the accompanying caption, Dynamo wrote: “It’s been a bit of a rough couple of weeks so wanted to give you an update.
"As you know I’ve had some health issues over last few years and underlying conditions make this virus particularly dangerous and very real.
"I’m incredibly relieved to be over the worst of it but wanted to let you all know what’s been happening.”
Other celebrities who have tested positive for coronavirus include Idris Elba, Tom Hanks, Frozen 2 star Rachel Matthews, and singer Charlotte Lawrence.
