Pete Doherty has been arrested in Paris for the second time in 48 hours, according to reports.

The Libertines frontman was arrested in the Pigalle district on Friday 8 November for allegedly being found in possession of cocaine. He spent two days in custody and was handed a provisional fee of £4,300, according to Mail Online.

After being released from custody, the 40-year-old apparently went out in his pyjamas to celebrate. He was allegedly spotted brawling with a 19-year-old man in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres district in the early hours of Sunday morning (10 November).

The unnamed teenager filed a report to police, claiming he was injured in the fight. Doherty now faces fresh charges for “violence by a person in a state of drunkenness”.

His lawyer, Arash Dermbarsh, said: “[Pete wanted to] go and celebrate his liberation in a bar near him. He drank and people made him drink.”

Doherty had reportedly taken sleeping bills before leaving his home to go out celebrating.

The Libertines are scheduled to begin their European tour in Luxembourg on 18 November. A representative said Doherty’s arrests are unlikely to affect their tour.
