Paris Jackson has hit back at TMZ after the website published a report claiming she has been hospitalised after an apparent suicide attempt.

"F*** you you f***ing liars," the model and actor tweeted at the publication, minutes after they published the claims. She then tweeted eight question marks and an unamused emoji.

The site cites "family sources" and "sources with knowledge", claiming Jackson was on "5150 hold" – which allows a person to be involuntarily held in psychiatric care for 72 hours.

TMZ also claimed that the attempt was made as a "direct response to the allegations made against her father in Leaving Neverland", the HBO documentary which alleges that her late father, Michael Jackson, sexually abused two boys in the 1990s.

Representatives for TMZ have been contacted for comment. A representative for Jackson has said there is no further comment at this time. A source told The Wrap that Jackson had an incident Saturday morning that required medical treatment and that she is currently resting at home, adding: "Any reports of a 5150 hold/suicide attempt are simply untrue."

Jackson’s estate has denied all of the allegations in the documentary and accused the two men featured in the documentary, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, of being “opportunists” and “liars”. It is currently suing HBO for $100m.
