Lana Del Rey added to Glastonbury 2020 lineup

She joins a lineup that includes Taylor Swift and Sir Paul McCartney

Lana Del Rey announces new spoken word album to benefit Native American organisation

Lana Del Rey will perform at Glastonbury 2020, it has been announced.

The singer joins a list of artists that already includes Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift and Diana Ross.

Emily Eavis revealed the news on Twitter, saying she was “very happy to tell you that the wonderful Lana Del Rey will he playing on the Pyramid stage this year”.

The iconic Pyramid stage is Glastonbury’s biggest platform.

Eavis, the daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis and current co-organiser of the festival, has spoken previously about the need for gender equality in the Glastonbury line-up.

Other acts rumoured to be in the running to perform this year include Kendrick Lamar and Angel Olsen.

Last year saw the release of Del Rey’s widely acclaimed sixth album Norman F***ing Rockwell!, which earned the singer two Grammy nominations.

More Glastonbury performers will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Glastonbury Festival takes place on 24-28 June.
