Classic scene where Neo escapes from work in The Matrix

New footage shows Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss filming scenes as Neo and Trinity for the fourth Matrix film.

The film’s shoot is underway, with Lana Wachowski and the film’s cast assembled in San Francisco.

Both Reeves and Moss can be seen on a motorcycle – this is the first time they have played the characters since The Matrix Revolutions in 2003.

Neo is sporting a different look, with long hair much like Reeves’ other popular character, John Wick, which is leading people to wonder if it actually is him.

He can be seen wearng Neo’s trademark long black jacket.

Plot details are currently unknown about the project, which will also star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris and Jada Pinkeet Smth, who will reprise the role of Niobi.

Rumours surrounding a new Matrix film began swirling when John Wick director Chad Stahelski let slip that the Wachowskis were planning a fourth film, although his comments were later claimed to be “hypothetical”.

Reeves wasn’t the first choice to play Neo in the Matrix trilogy, which ended with The Matrix Revolutions in 2003: Will Smith was approached for the role and recently revealed why he turned it down.
