Pixar may have produced some fantastic original films - Toy Story, Wall-E, Finding Nemo - yet, there remains one sequel fans are dying to see: The Incredibles 2.

For years, rumours regarding development have circulated across the internet, the animation studio only publicly acknowledging the film in 2014, a decade after the original hit cinemas.

Now, finally, after what feels like an eternity, some substantial news on the sequel: Frozone actor Samuel L. Jackson has posted an image to Instagram confirming voice recording has begun.

Fingers crossed Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and the rest of the voice cast are with him.

Earlier this year, the release date of The Incredibles 2 was moved forward a year, from 21 June 2018 to 15 June 2018, while the Toy Story 4 was pushed back to Incredibles 2’s old release date.

Meanwhile, Pixar has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Cars 3, revealing the animated film's darker tone. Along with these three sequels, the animation studio is releasing the original film Coco about “a 12-year-old boy named Miguel who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery”.
