The Harry Potter franchise will surely get a reboot, according to none other than Daniel Radcliffe – even though it's unlikely to feature him in the title role.

Radcliffe, who plays the famous wizard in all eight Harry Potter films, told IGN in a recent interview that he is certain someone else will play the part in the future.

“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime – we’ve already got a few more,” he told the platform.

Radcliffe appeared to be referring to Jamie Parker and Gareth Reeves, who have both played the lead part in the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

While the actor acknowledged the ongoing popularity of the Harry Potter franchise, he said he expects the movies to lose some of their “shine” in the future.

2. Inception (2010)

To call Inception a Leonardo DiCaprio film is to do a disservice to its writer-director Christopher Nolan, whose mind-bending blockbuster remains a staggering, if divisive, achievement. DiCaprio could have easily rested on his laurels, knowing the audience would be dazzled by the director’s visuals, but his performance as Dom Cobb is genuinely affecting: his reaction to wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) throwing herself from a window is a devastating high point.

1. Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Baz Luhrmann once described his update of Shakespeare's classic tragedy as "funky". That it is, and so much more. From the psychedelic tunes to the Hawaiian shirts, it's Romeo and Juliet by way of MTV: a heady, relentlessly innovative dive into the seedy metropolis of Verona Beach, Florida. This was the moment the then 21-year-old DiCaprio went stratospheric.

“It will be interesting to see how long those films stay… it feels like there’s a sacredness around them at the moment, but that’ll go, the shine will wear off at some point,” he added.

“It’ll be interesting if they reboot them and just do the films again or do a series; I’m fascinated to watch.”

The final instalment in the Harry Potter series came out in July 2011.

Since then, Radcliffe has continued developing his career both on screen and on stage. He recently played the main role of fact-checker Jim Fingal in the Broadway play The Lifespan of a Fact, which ran for three months at Studio 54 in New York City.
