Frank Ocean interviewed Timothée Chalamet ahead of the Oscars for his nominated films Call Me By Your Name and Lady Bird, and it's everything we ever wanted and more.

The Blonde singer spoke to Chalamet for the latest issue of VMan and the actor couldn't have been more excited to speak to one of his favourite musicians.

The Call Me By Your Name actor said, "This is so exciting. It is an honour to speak to you, man. I’m such a huge fan. This is going to be a real test to keep my voice level and keep this as normal of a conversation as possible."

Naturally, Ocean keeps his cool, but their fandom for one another shines through the interview.

In their conversation, Chalamet and Ocean cover everything from Chalamet's LaGuardia high school rapping videos, which Frank is a fan of (“I saw it on ‘Ellen,’” Frank says. “I figured if Ellen’s talking about it, then it’s fair game.”) to the incredible Call Me By Your Name soundtrack.

But the most intriguing moments in the interview are the more casual parts of the conversation.

For instance, Chalamet starts to sing “Dreaming a thought that could dream about a thought. / That could think of the dreamer that thought. / That could think of dreaming and getting a glimmer of God," which are lyrics to Ocean's song "Seigfried" and Ocean responds with, "Don't do that."

Ocean telling Chalamet to stop singing is priceless, but it's easy to miss in their conversation.

At one point Ocean and Chalamet discuss the actor getting assistance with Italian on the Call Me By Your Name set and Chalamet reveals he had a consultant for drug sequences on another movie he's working on called Beautiful Boy.

While the interview is focused on Chalamet and his work, at one point the two discuss the soundtrack where Ocean casually drops some possible music plans.

Chalamet describes the beauty of the Call Me By Your Name soundtrack saying, "We listened to Sufjan Stevens [included on the soundtrack] with Luca and Armie [Hammer] right before we started shooting—that was an experience, to listen to that and, like, hold each other after. It’s awesome to hear you say that about the soundtrack."

He then suggests to Ocean, "You’ve got to score a movie," to which the singer replies "Yeah, one of these days."

We can only hope so.
